Wedding Planning is well underway and we have been absolutely inundated with enquiries and bookings from all you lovely Brides and Grooms out there....
So my message for anyone that is planning a wedding please don't leave it late to book your wedding cake or any other supplier for your wedding. I know I have posted about this before but its a question I get asked over and over "When should I book my wedding cake?". The answer is as soon as you can, any wedding supplier has limited availability for each date and with hundreds and couples getting married every year, dates get booked up VERY quickly.
If you would like to see if your wedding date is still available and chat about your wedding cake please contact me as soon as possible,

One of the biggest bits of advice I can give if you are Wedding Cake shopping, DON'T LEAVE IT TOO LATE!! I get asked all of the time "when should I book my wedding cake.".....the answer is as soon as possible!! Cake Makers and Decorators get booked up really quickly especially during the summer months, and the later you leave it to book your Wedding Cake the more likely it will be that you will struggle to find a cake maker who has availability for your Wedding Date. If you have found a Cake Maker and have decided on your Wedding Cake design, reserve your date with them!!
The Naked Wedding Cake is still our most popular cake style for 2017 weddings. All elements of this cake can be changed to suit your wedding style. Brides are changing the flower colours, the style of buttercream can be rustic, patterned, or smooth. Everything about this cake is beautiful, and Naked Wedding Cakes smell amazing. There is no wonder why this is still one of the most popular Cakes for 2017 Weddings.
So the Wedding Season is in full swing and here at the White Rose Cake Company its Wedding Cake Mania......and I LOVE IT!!
All of the beautiful designs that I sketched months ago I can now create and make a reality.
This weeks Wedding Cake has Ruffles, Roses, and Edible 24ct Gold Leaf, its is amazing and I cant wait to show you all the pictures once it has been delivered to the Wedding Venue in Sussex and the Happy Couple have seen it.
I think I may be a little addicted to making Sugar Flowers.........
We have been so busy lately we haven't had a spare moment to update the website with pictures of our recent creations. So here are some of them (we didn't even have time to take a picture of some of the cakes we made).......
With so many contacts from couples getting married I thought I would write a post on choosing the perfect Wedding Cake for your big day.
There are so many things to think about for your Wedding Day and the cake is a huge part of this for most people, and most people don't know where to start.
As a Cake Designer and Maker I can tell you that the most important thing to think about is your budget.
When I got Married I had no idea how much a Wedding Cake cost and just picked a number out of thin air and wrote this down. Then after doing a bit of research I realised that the cake I wanted (and I had a very clear idea of what I wanted) I was never going to get within my budget! So something had to give, and for me it meant spending more money as I wasn't having anything other than the cake I wanted!!
My advise when setting your budget for your cake is to think about what is important to you both and how much you are prepared to spend??
